Going Batty

Our first unit study for the school year was BATS!  Evamarie played a bat in the Jungle Book.

We did the lapbook and unit study from homeschool share on the book Stellaluna.  We learned about where fruit bats live, echolocation, baby bats, whether animals are diurnal or noctural, whether animals are carniivores, herbivores, or omnivores, and the anatomy of a bat.

We also made a bat mobile with glow in the dark painted bats!

My daddy made us a bat house and we hope to get it up this week.

 We hope that some bats take up there and eat up lots of mosquitoes!
